For lake anglers, the DeJardo's bait and tackle operation is the largest in the area. They carry all the baits needed for fishing in Central and South Texas - from live bait to hard to find artificial baits. In addition to the bait and tackle operation, they offer fishing trip referrals.

After a 24-year career in the Navy, Sylvan, Rose and family retired to the Hill Country. While searching for a reliable local bait and tackle shop and coming up empty, they decided the only solution was to open their own business. The shop was initially only opened on weekends, but as demand increased the store's hours of operation were expanded.

Catfish are emphasized in our business because they are easy and fun for kids of all ages to catch. Kids like the catfish because of their unique appearance, not to mention that they are tasty table fare. We feel catfishing is a great way to introduce kids to fishing and stroke their enthusiasm for the sport.
